| Bio | Dr. Peters began his engineering education by serving in the United States Navy as a machinist’s mate, where he operated, maintained, and supervised the engine room and forward auxiliary room of a Knox class frigate. Upon an honorable discharge, Dr. Peters started his academic experience, performing instrument neutron activation analysis and conducting research on high power microwave sources. After graduation, Dr. Peters worked in the antenna and microwave department at a major defense contractor, primarily for shipboard radars. Currently, Dr. Peters is developing the Drexel University Nuclear Engineering Education Laboratory (DUNEEL), where students will be educated in fields common to nuclear engineering (e.g., radiation detection, nuclear reactor theory, health physics). Dr. Peters is a member of the IEEE-MTT and NPS groups, as well as the Association of Old Crows. |
