ResearchElectronic Design Automation (EDA) of VLSI circuits; clock skew scheduling; resonant clocking; high-performance mixed-signal integrated circuits; nanoachitectures including Quantum-Dot Cellular Automata (QCA).
BioBaris Taskin received the B.S. degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2000, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, in 2003 and 2005, respectively. He also received the minor program diploma in operations research from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2000, and the certificate in system-on-chip (SOC) design from Pittsburgh Digital Greenhouse [currently called The Technology Collaborative (TTC)], Pittsburgh, PA (in cooperation with the University of Pittsburgh, the Pennsylvania State University and Carnegie Mellon University), in 2003.

He has been an assistant professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA, since 2005. Between 2003-2004, he was a staff engineer at MultiGiG Inc., Scotts Valley, CA, working on electronic design automation of integrated circuit timing and clocking. His research interests include VLSI CAD, circuit timing, high performance integrated circuits and nanoarchitectures.
