    Dr. Eli Fromm receives the Gordon Prize: Dr. Eli Fromm was awarded the Bernard M. Gordon Prize for "Innovation in Engineering and Technology Education" by the National Academy of Engineering at a ceremony held at the East Hall of the Union Station in Washington, D.C. The Bernard M. Gordon Prize was presented for the first time this year and will be awarded biennially in the future to an engineering educator who has developed practices that greatly improve engineering and technology education, prepare a stronger workforce, encourage innovation and inventiveness, and promote the development of technology.     Dr. Bahram Nabet, professor of electrical and computer engineering and affiliated professor of biomedical engineering, has been named an associate dean for special projects in the College of Engineering. Nabet will be in charge of developing international programs for the college, leading and coordinating efforts to establish research collaborations at the graduate level as well as educational collaborations at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
