    Notes:

    • Core Electives are 300-level ECE courses from other ECE 21 tracks.
    • ECE Tech Electives are 300- or 400-level ECE courses from any track.
    • One liberal elective must be in economics. ECON 211 (3 cr) and ECON 201 (4 cr) are accepted. Two liberal studies courses must be in the same area (HIST, PSY, etc.). Economics courses cannot make a sequence. The list of accepted liberal studies courses can be found here.
    • Computer Engineering Sequences - one full sequence must be completed:
      • ECEC 451 Computer Arithmetic (3 cr), ECEC 453 Image Processing Architectures (3 cr), ECEC 455 Intelligent Systems Architectures
        (3 cr)
        • This sequence is good for seniors in the 2003-04 year, but is being phased out.
      • ECEC 451 Computer Arithmetic (3 cr), ECEC 457 Security in Computing, ECEC 459 Testing of Hardware
      • ECEC 411 Computer Hardware (3 cr), ECEC 421 Operating Systems I (3 cr), ECEC 422 Operating Systems II (3 cr)
      • ECEC 431 Computer Networking (3 cr), ECEC 432 Network Protocols (3 cr), ECEC 433 Network Programming (3 cr)

    * The number of free elective credits will depend on the individual plan of study. Students who have taken 4 credit CE sequence or technical elective courses will need fewer free elective credits. Those who took 3 credit courses will need more. The total of all credits taken must add to 192 for the CE degree.
